Appin Aqueducts Refurbishment

Introduction

These multiple projects involved the refurbishment of six steel aqueducts that form part of the major fresh water conduit into the Sydney region.

The Project 

The work was performed under separate contracts. Each contract included the removal of existing concrete linings, surface preparation, priming and installation of the new concrete lining using shotcrete equipment. The aqueducts form part of the canal bringing fresh water from the southern catchment area to Warragamba Dam.  The work was completed during shut down periods on a very tight schedule, all contracts were completed on time and to the complete satisfaction of the client.  Total project value in excess of $3,400,000.00.
