Difficult work done damn well

Baulkham Hills Submain

Introduction

This project involved the structural rehabilitation of a concrete encased vitreous clay aqueduct including two creek crossings all located within a bushland reserve.

The Project

The creek crossings had become partially or completely blocked with sediment and needed to be cleared in order to relieve the pressure placed on the aqueduct. Further structural improvements including the installation of concrete buttresses, pads and placement of gabions were also made to ensure the ongoing high standards of sewerage services to our client’s customers. The area was of significant importance to the local indigenous custodians and required careful consultation with all stakeholders.
