Bombowlee Creek Bridge
Introduction
This project was for the strengthening of an existing concrete bridge to enable it to cope with an increase in heavy vehicle traffic.
The Project
The bridge supports were re engineered to enable the structure to cope with the additional loads required, carbon fibre strengthening systems were also used to enhance performance of the existing concrete structure. Expansion joints were also removed and replaced to protect the structure from further damage due to movement.
