Difficult work done damn well

NGRS Access Shafts 

Introduction

This project involved the construction of two 2.4m diameter access shafts in Carlton NSW. 

The Challenge

The shafts were approximately 25m in depth and have been constructed in close proximity to local homes and on suburban streets.  

Solution 

These bored shafts have been lined with pre-cast concrete segments and fitted with stainless steel ladders and platforms.

Conclusion

Construction of the shafts is valued at approximately $2,000,000 and form part of the major NGRS rehabilitation program.
